Wadsworth City Schools seeks an Aide - Cafeteria/Playground at Wadsworth Intermediate School in Wadsworth, OH. This full-time position runs 184 days with a 2.0 hour shift (11:00 am – 1:00 pm) and a pay rate of $15.85–$19.42 per hour.

The role involves assisting with students, basic clerical duties, and supervising in cafeteria and playground areas. A high school diploma is preferred, and Ohio Educational Aide Permits may be required during employment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Two years of child care or aide certification preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Educational Aide Permit through the Ohio Department of Education during employment.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of computers.
• Good organization skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively with other personnel.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Ability to perform clerical skills including, but not limited to filing, copying and record keeping.
• Must enjoy working with school age children.
• A working knowledge of copiers, faxes, and other devices commonly used in public schools.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Must have patience and be cheerful.
• Ability to successfully complete CPR/First Aid training.
• Ability to perform items as listed in the essential duties.
• Ability to communicate clearly and articulately.
• Successful validation of qualifications as determined by interview.
• Other relevant criteria as determined by the Board of Education, Superintendent and/or designee may find appropriate are acceptable.
