Job summary

Wadsworth City Schools' Overlook Elementary School is seeking a part-time school aide to support students and staff. The role offers a daily 2-hour shift (11:50a–1:50p) across 184 school days, with pay ranging from $15.85 to $19.42 per hour.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, some child care experience, basic computer skills, and a positive, patient demeanor; willingness to obtain an Educational Aide Permit and CPR/First Aid training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate
• Two years of child care or aide certification preferred
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Educational Aide Permit through the Ohio Department of Education during employment
• Demonstrate working knowledge of computers
• Good organization skills
• Ability to work cooperatively with other personnel
• Ability to follow directions
• Ability to perform clerical skills including filing, copying and record keeping
• Must enjoy working with school age children
• A working knowledge of copiers, faxes, and other devices commonly used in public schools
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Must have patience and be cheerful
• Ability to successfully complete CPR/First Aid training
• Ability to communicate clearly and articulatively
• Successful validation of qualifications as determined by interview
