Job summary

Cadence Education is seeking a passionate part-time School Age Teacher to join our Norwalk team. You will support daily classroom operations, implement Cadence Education programs, and help create a safe, nurturing environment for children including those with IEPs.

The role requires 2:30-6pm on Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri and 1pm-6pm on Wed, with opportunities for CDA/tuition reimbursement and professional development. Cadence offers strong benefits and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent required by state licensing.
• Experience in childcare, daycare, or early childhood education preferred.
• Must meet state licensing qualifications for teacher in licensed center.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive, inclusive classroom environment with dignity and care.
• Greet children and families daily and establish welcoming relationships.
• Follow IEPs and behavioral support plans as directed.
• Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families and staff using Cadence-approved tools.
• Adhere to Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual and report incidents.
• Help manage and document child behaviors per Cadence policies.
• Participate in required meetings and trainings, including outside hours.
