Job summary

South-Middlesex-Opportunity-Council (SMOC) is seeking a part-time Group Leader, Childcare in Framingham, MA. Working with the classroom team, you will plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that engage children and support readiness across social/emotional, cognitive, physical and language development.

You will maintain a safe, healthy learning environment, communicate with families, and participate in staff meetings and trainings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• EEC certified Group Leader or 9 months of experience with ages 5-12.
• Experience with school-age children.
• CPR & First Aid certification completed per EEC timelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of SMOC Child Care standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in planning and implementing a safe, engaging learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with supervisor and families.
• Observe and document children's behavior to inform planning.
• Maintain space, equipment, and records for the classroom.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in trainings.
• Supervise children and ensure safety at all times.
