Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a School-Age Childcare Assistant for the Penn-Bernville Elementary School before and after school program for the 2026–2027 year. The role is part-time, with hours following the school calendar, including morning and/or afternoon shifts.

Responsibilities include facilitating activities, ensuring safety, and supporting operations while serving 5–12 year olds in a friendly, engaging environment. Employer-paid childcare is offered for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working with children under 13.
• Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and references.
• 18+ years old; High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Physically able to bend, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academics, art, and homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, including attendance, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
