Qualifications

• High school education preferred but not required.
• Previous experience with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support individual students or small groups to reinforce learning introduced by the on-site supervisor.
• Assist in devising strategies to reinforce material based on students' needs, interests, and abilities.
• Operate and care for classroom equipment used for instructional purposes.
• Distribute and collect workbooks, papers, and other materials for instruction.
• Guide independent, enrichment, and remedial work set up by the on-site supervisor.
• Assist with supervision during drills, play, and field trips.
• Maintain up-to-date bulletin boards and classroom displays.
• Assist with large group activities like drill work, reading aloud, and storytelling.
• Read to students and participate in oral reading activities.
• Check notebooks, correct papers, and supervise tests and makeup work.
• Assist with lunch, snack, and cleanup routines.
• Assist with wash-up and toilet routines.
• Provide information and help to substitute teachers when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical behavior toward students.
