Fort Wayne Community Schools Nutrition Services is seeking a Part-Time 6-hour Satellite Cafeteria Manager for Fairfield Elementary in Fort Wayne, IN. Qualifications

• High school graduation with at least 3 years in food service including cooking, purchasing, inventory, cashiering and quality control.
• Strong planning, management, supervisory, analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of terminology, practices and equipment in the field; willingness to obtain certification as needed.

Responsibilities

• Communicate courteously with students, staff and department personnel.
• Plan and direct distribution of food items per policy and HACCP guidelines.
• Coordinate orders and receipts from satellite kitchen and vendors with accuracy and HACCP compliance.
• Train and supervise staff to ensure policy compliance.
• Ensure cashiering accuracy and balance accounts.
• Maintain records related to food service operations, inventory and distribution.
• Promote nutritional education and the marketing/merchandising of new products.
• Coordinate with students, staff and external agencies to support satellite operations.
• Operate and maintain food service equipment; use computer software and arrange for maintenance.
• Stay current with food regulations and implement policy changes.
• Perform related duties as assigned by the Director.
