Job summary

Klondike Cheese Co. in Pennsylvania is seeking a sanitation team member to help maintain clean, hygienic conditions for cheese and yogurt production. This part-time role supports the production line on 2nd and 3rd shifts, with Saturdays every other week.

You will clean and sanitize equipment and rooms using brushes, hoses, and detergents, follow instructions, and work safely in a fast-paced environment while lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment is preferred but not required.
• Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work as part of a team.

Sanitation team member responsibilities include activities such as cleaning and sanitizing equipment, machinery, and work areas in the facility using brushes, hoses, and chemical cleaning agents. Sanitation team members will utilize detergents, sanitizers, brushes, and high-pressure hoses to clean production equipment and rooms in assigned areas. These roles are critical in meeting the highest food safety standards.Schedules:Part-time schedules vary – current sanitation openings are on 2nd and 3rd shift, with varying hours that include every other Saturday.Qualifications / Physical Abilities:Previous experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment is preferred but not required.Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.Ability to work as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Employees are required to stand the duration of the shift, with frequent and repetitive bending, stooping, turning, reaching, grasping and lifting up to 50 pounds.Ability to read and interpret work instructions and follow directions.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects and controls.Constantly required to talk and hear.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus naturally or with correction.Please note that these physical requirements are representative but not exhaustive.
