Job summary

Dollar General invites motivated team members to join as Cashier/Stocker in a fast-paced neighborhood store. You will greet customers, stock shelves, and assist with displays while maintaining a clean, well-organized environment.

You may take on lead responsibilities when the Store Manager or Assistant is away and will follow SOPs to maximize customer satisfaction and store profitability. Strong math, cash handling, and POS experience help you excel.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Experience with IBM cash registers or similar POS systems.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise according to store procedures.
• Rotate and face merchandise, build displays, and maintain shelves.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and provide superior service.
• Operate cash register, handle payments, and bag purchases.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety at front end and stockroom.
• Open or close the store under supervisor direction.
• Support in plan-o-gram implementation and inventory control.
• Provide cashier accountability and support in manager absence.
