Position Objective

The Sales Lead supports management in promoting a customer- and product-focused sales culture, emphasizing excellent customer experience and profitability. We love what we do and believe our teams are the most amazing place to work, learn, and grow!

Functional Responsibilities
Drive for Results
  • Establish and communicate clear expectations; hold team accountable for brand, performance, and behavior standards.
  • Oversee operational activities such as opening, closing, and merchandise flow.
  • Supervise associates engaged in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service; utilize schedules for proper coverage; stay current on sales and promotions; display merchandise according to standards.
  • Maintain standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other duties assigned by management.
  • Develop a high-performance culture; motivate the team to meet sales and productivity goals; meet personal sales goals.
  • Train and coach team members on product knowledge and sales techniques.
Build High Performing Teams
  • Motivate and inspire the team; promote shared vision and core values.
  • Encourage inclusive problem-solving and effective communication to lead positive change.
  • Seek personal development and feedback to enhance leadership skills.
Customer Experience
  • Model and promote MAPS principles for excellent service and omni-channel experience.
  • Use sales techniques and product knowledge to assist customers; recommend and locate merchandise.
  • Build customer loyalty through clienteling and wardrobing.
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly.
  • Ensure efficient register operations and adherence to payment, coupon, return, and security policies.
  • Maintain ongoing customer communication via loyalty programs and sign-ups.
Talent Development
  • Support and follow up on training initiatives.
  • Assist in developing store staff; interpret KPI reports; provide coaching and feedback.
  • Drive engagement through recognition and rewards.
  • Ensure adherence to employment policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This role may vary across brands and duties may differ accordingly.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year retail or sales management experience preferred
  • Must be 18+ years old
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt to technology
  • Knowledge of store operations and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable attendance and flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays
Physical Requirements
  • Constant walking/standing (67-100%) of shift
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (1-33%)
  • Frequent climbing (34-66%)

Starting at $16.50/hour or applicable local minimum wage.
