Galanter & Jones in Palo Alto is seeking a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate to share our luxury heated furniture with guests at the Stanford Shopping Center.

You will invite visitors to sit, explain heating and materials, and capture leads for follow-up, while helping with store operations and events.

The role offers evenings/weekends, flexible scheduling, and a shared monthly store bonus with a dynamic team.

Competenze

• 1–2 years in retail, hospitality, or a design showroom.
• Genuinely enjoy talking to strangers and explaining new concepts.
• Careful and accurate with details—leads captured correctly are crucial.
• Familiar with Shopify POS, HubSpot or similar CRM, and iPads.
• Available evenings and weekends.
• Interest in design, materials, and how products are made.

Compensation:

$25-$30/hour + Monthly Sales Bonus

Schedule:

Part-time, 20-25 hours/week. Evenings and weekends required.

About Galanter & Jones

Galanter & Jones is a Bay Area design studio and the original creator of heated outdoor furniture. We design and build cast-stone seating that stays warm - so people can stay outside longer, in more months of the year, in more of the places they already love. Our work is made in San Francisco. Our Stanford location is our second retail store in the Bay Area.

About the Role

As a Retail Sales Associate, you are the face and energy of our brand. You’re passionate about design, comfortable with luxury product, and confident engaging with everyone who walks by or steps into our space. Your #1 priority is to invite guests to try (“sit and feel”) our furniture—turning curiosity into memorable experiences, social engagement, and digital connections. When someone is genuinely interested, you'll capture their information carefully and hand off a warm, well-documented lead.

Compensation & Perks

• $25-$30/hour depending on experience
