Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years of retail or furniture experience, strong communication, and a genuine interest in design. Weekend availability helps support our busy store and deliver memorable customer experiences.

• Provide a welcoming, knowledgeable, and engaging experience for every customer.

• Develop strong knowledge of Nadeau's furniture, materials, styles, and unique product assortment.
• Assist customers with furniture selection, styling ideas, and product questions.
• Maintain the appearance of the showroom in accordance with company visual standards.
• Assist with merchandising and rearranging furniture throughout the showroom.
• Support day-to-day store operations and work collaboratively with the store team.
• Safely assist with moving and lifting furniture as part of normal store operations.

We are looking for an engaging and sales-driven Part‑Time Sales Associate to join our Austin team. The ideal candidate has a natural ability to connect with customers, a strong interest in furniture and interior design, and the confidence to help customers find pieces that work beautifully within their homes and spaces.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys selling, understands how furniture and décor work together, communicates well, and isn't afraid to take initiative.

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail, furniture, home décor, interior design, or sales experience preferred
• Strong sales ability with a customer‑focused approach
• Knowledge of or genuine interest in furniture, home décor, and interior design
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable engaging customers, asking questions, and recommending products based on their needs
• Professional, dependable, and able to follow direction while also taking initiative
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced retail environment
• Basic computer and math skills
• Must have reliable transportation
• Weekend availability is required; schedule flexibility is preferred
• Must be willing and able to regularly lift and move furniture weighing 50+ lbs, with assistance when appropriate
