Ashland University Bookstore is seeking a Part-Time Safety Service Officer in Safety Services to support campus safety operations.

The officer reports to the Director of Safety Services and may perform dispatcher duties during breaks; officials are cross-trained to handle emergency and routine calls. The role emphasizes communication, readiness for emergencies, and campus patrols under varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Ohio driver's license.
• Must carry private auto insurance.
• Must be an effective communicator.
• Must be able to respond to all types of emergency and routine service calls.
• Ashland University will not sponsor or take over sponsorship for an employment visa.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision by the Director of Safety Services; officers may cover dispatcher duties during breaks and stay current on dispatching responsibilities.
• Cross-trained to cover dispatchers during breaks and to stay current on dispatching responsibilities.
