Job summary

Central Maine Healthcare in Maine is seeking a Stroke Program Coordinator to lead the Stroke Program, coordinate activities, and promote high-quality, integrated care across the system.

Required: BSN, RN or APN licensure, BLS, 5 years clinical/management experience, stroke care knowledge after 6 months, and strong data/IT skills including CPOE and core clinical systems. Competitive pay and benefits provided.

Qualifications

• BSN required; Master’s (APN) preferred.
• Current state licensure as an RN or APN.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Five years clinical and/or management experience in a multidisciplinary health care setting.
• After 6 months, knowledge in the care of stroke patients using the American Stroke Association Guidelines is required.
• Knowledgeable on current State Laws and Regulations as applicable to facility and Stroke program.
• Proficiency in Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); data management, data analysis and quality improvement processes; CPOE and core clinical systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead all activities of the Stroke Program.
• Participate in performance improvement data collection, activities, and functions to promote an integrated Stroke Program.
• Assist with development and implementation of initiatives, policies and procedures, including staff education related to stroke care.
• Evaluate Stroke Program through data capture, follow-up and trend analysis and present findings to committees.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team on problem identification, cost containment, and implementation of new services and systems.
