Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse - Non-Acute in Hackensack, NJ to provide direct patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team on a part-time schedule.

You will perform age- and disease-specific assessments, collect health data, develop and implement a plan of care, communicate with patients and families, and coordinate with the healthcare team using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Experience: Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.
• Licenses & Certifications: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License; AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing practices according to evidence-based research and standards of care.
• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Develop a plan of care with strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Administer medications utilizing bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
• Identify ethical issues in the practice setting and address them appropriately.
