Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license.
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Professional Nursing program.
• Experience with MDS, care planning, and reimbursement documentation.
• Knowledge of NYSDOH regulations and survey process.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and teamwork.
• Computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all MDS assessments in accordance with federal and New York State regulations.
• Develop, manage, and communicate MDS schedules with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion and submission of MDS, CAAs, and care plans.
• Monitor and interpret Quality Measures to support clinical outcomes and compliance.
• Lead and support reimbursement processes, including decision-making and denial management.
• Serve as a liaison between Nursing, Therapy, and Resident Accounts.
• Provide documentation oversight and ensure compliance with reimbursement guidelines.
• Identify documentation gaps and educate staff through training and in-services.
• Support Medicaid reimbursement through accurate MDS census data submission.
