Job summary

Wellpath is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical team at LaSalle County Jail. This part-time role provides direct patient care using the nursing process under the supervision of Charge Nurses, with day shift coverage and 24 hours per week.

Qualified candidates will hold an active RN license, CPR certification, and at least one year of clinic experience. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for training and growth in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Preferred minimum of one year clinic experience.
• Current state RN licensure and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessing and planning individual treatment programs, consulting with Charge Nurse(s) and other staff as necessary.
• Administer medications, obtain diagnostic tests, and assist with minor procedures.
• Count controlled substances and document nursing encounters; follow established policies and procedures.
• Document nursing encounters using the SOAP form of charting and attend mandatory staff meetings and training.
• Communicate information to nursing staff, physician, health care unit supervisory personnel or other staff as necessary.
