Qualifications

• ACLS within 90 days.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 30 days.
• Cardiovascular Disease CEU hours - 4 per year annually by transcript due date.
• Missouri Registered Nurse license or compact state RN license.
• If compact license, must be in nurse’s state of residence.
• Pass Patient Care Orientation.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 365 days.
• RN Competency Day annually by transcript due date.
• Stroke CEU Hours - 4 per year annually by transcript due date.

Responsibilities

• Works with Admissions, Bed Control, and Direct Call in placement of direct admit patients, completing nursing assessment and monitoring patients until taken to the nursing unit.
• Assists nursing units with admissions and discharges and monitors patients in the Admit/Discharge Lounge while waiting for transportation at discharge.
