Job summary

Advocate Health in Downers Grove, IL is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join the Surgical Care Pavilion team. The role features a 20-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with no weekend requirements.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, coordinating patient care, maintaining safety, documenting in electronic health records, and supporting unit quality initiatives. This position requires BLS and an active RN license; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where providing services.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Engages in nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans with care team.
• Maintains accurate EHR documentation and supports safety culture.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocols.
• Communicates effectively and delegates appropriately.
