Job summary

JCPenney is seeking a Part-Time Supervisor to support management in delivering a top customer experience while driving store performance in a fast-paced apparel setting.

You will work with the team to grow sales, demonstrate product knowledge, and maintain merchandising standards. This role emphasizes leadership, customer engagement, and a positive store culture, with responsibilities includingPOS transactions and stepping in for the Store Manager when needed.

Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience in a similar-volume apparel environment.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and sales statistics.
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends to meet business needs.
• Occasional travel to other store locations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support the management team to achieve sales results and grow the business.
• Understand and demonstrate product knowledge, selling and operational skills to maximize sales.
• Engage with customers to build relationships and brand loyalty using company tools.
• Be a role model to the team for delivering a superior customer experience.
• Support the management team to ensure store standards for merchandising and operations are met consistently.
• Be accountable for assigned tasks and results.
• Learn all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive the business.
• Create a great work environment with a positive, professional attitude.
• Perform POS transactions on designated shifts and execute supervisor duties in the Store Manager’s absence.
