Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Whiteland, IN is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers in a positive, approachable manner, and supervise staff.

This part-time role includes duties such as opening/closing procedures, merchandise transfers, payroll and loss prevention, and maintaining clean, well-organized sales floor and stockroom areas.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising retail staff in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Follow corporate directives and communicate store information as required.
• Maintain promotional displays and fixtures; ensure store cleanliness and organization.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll and cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Protect assets and ensure safe store environment; adhere to policies.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
