Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking a part-time Store Associate in San Antonio, TX.

You will assist with daily store operations, help customers, organize merchandise, and support the Store Manager in training staff while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for shoppers. Responsibilities include stocking, executing opening/closing procedures, following corporate directives, and ensuring clean, well-organized displays and stockrooms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read and explain operational directives is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred
• Lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks (walking, standing, bending)
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and deliver excellent customer service
• Organizational skills and attention to detail are essential

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and related store communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, record keeping, and loss prevention
• Keep store areas well-stocked and clean, including stockroom and restrooms
• Protect company assets, including cash, and follow safety policies
• Support Store Manager with training and development of associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and professional environment for customers and staff
