Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver an engaging shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and help maintain stock, cleanliness, and store safety.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior retail or customer service experience. You will be expected to lift 30–50 lbs and perform various store duties with a friendly, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
