BuddiesHR is seeking a part-time Retail Scan Associate to join our Des Moines, IA area team. The role involves visiting assigned stores weekly, scanning product barcodes, and collecting data to support retailer sales performance.

Expect flexible hours (3–7 hours per week, with occasional 1–2 hours per store for special projects). Physical activity is required, with travel paid at your hourly rate. Prior experience is not required, but reliability and basic tech comfort are important.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver's license.
• Reliable vehicle and valid auto insurance.
• Ability to stand for long periods and reach/store items throughout stores.
• Must have reliable Wi-Fi and be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visit designated stores weekly to scan product barcodes.
• Use a mobile app to scan barcodes in various store locations.
• Provide quantity data for a portion of scanned products each week.
• Support data collection across grocery, convenience, and other store types.
• Meet weekly deadlines and maintain data accuracy.
