BuddiesHR is seeking a part-time Retail Scan Associate for Ashland, VA 23005. The role involves visiting local stores weekly to scan product barcodes using a mobile app, with flexible hours and on-site work.

You’ll contribute to data collection across grocery, convenience, drug, and mass retailers, including special projects. The position offers independent work, paid travel at your hourly rate, and benefits such as 401(k) with employer matching and a referral program.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver's license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods, while accessing products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Visit designated stores weekly to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations.
• Use a mobile app to scan barcodes across store areas.
• Provide quantity for about 45% of scanned products.
• Complete Display Scanning across the store on a weekly basis.
• Participate in Custom Projects which may add 1–2 hours per week per store.
• Maintain timely, accurate data delivery to clients.
