Job summary

Minuteman Food Mart is seeking a customer-focused Sales Associate for a part-time role. You will greet customers, answer questions, and assist with merchandise placement, pricing, and promotions. You will operate POS systems, process transactions, and ensure shelves are stocked and displays are organized.

The position requires friendly, fast, and accurate service with a willingness to learn and adapt in a busy convenience-store environment. Prior retail experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional interaction with diverse customers.
• Strong verbal communication skills for customers and team members.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions, making change, and discounts.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist customers in locating products and answering questions about merchandise, pricing, and promotions.
• Operate cash registers and POS systems to process transactions.
• Stock shelves and maintain organized displays and product rotations.
• Keep store clean and organized; monitor inventory and restock as needed.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate when necessary.
• Follow cash handling procedures and store policies.
• Support opening/closing procedures and team collaboration.
