Qualifications

• Must have thorough knowledge of drugs and their actions; knowledge of state and local regulations.
• License must be in good standing by the State Board of Pharmacy in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position.

Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions to assure accuracy, ascertain needed ingredients, and evaluate suitability.
• Provide information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and proper storage.
• Counsels patients on medications, administration, and expected response; monitor patient progress.
