Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Woodbridge, Virginia is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, and supervise store associates to maintain a productive, friendly environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling), and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean and well-stocked store and stockroom according to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure all associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment and professional interactions with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal; keep areas neat and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
