Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot in Auburn, ME is seeking a part-time Retail Facilities Associate (Janitorial/Custodial) to maintain a clean, safe store environment and support merchandising tasks.

Responsibilities include vacuuming, mopping, trash, restroom supplies, safety checks, and assisting customers at the sales floor and registers as needed. Prior facilities or retail experience and good communication are valued.

Qualifications

• Prior facilities experience is required.
• Experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
• Basic math, reading skills, legible handwriting, and good verbal and written communication are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and correct maintenance and safety issues inside and outside the store.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors and other surfaces.
• Empty trash and dispose of interior waste.
• Check and maintain bathroom, breakroom and supply levels.
• Support merchandising tasks and operate a cash register as needed.
• Communicate issues to store leadership promptly.
