Job summary

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates in Salem, OR to visit selected stores weekly and scan barcodes using a mobile app. The role includes in-store data collection across grocery and related retailers, with flexible hours and ongoing independent work.

The base hours average 5–10 per week, with occasional extra hours for special projects. Compensation is $16 per hour, plus travel reimbursement and benefits eligibility where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with min. state auto insurance coverage.
• Able to stand for long periods and reach/store products throughout stores.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds and perform repetitive motions.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline-driven self-starter with reliable Wi‑Fi and basic tech skills.

Responsibilities

• Visit designated stores weekly to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisles.
• Use a mobile app to scan barcodes across store locations and complete assignments.
• Provide quantity data for a portion of scanned products each week.
• Participate in routine in-store data collections across multiple retailer types.
• Work 5–10 hours per week on average, with potential extra hours for special projects.
