Job summary

Ho-Chunk, Inc. is seeking a retail associate to greet customers, answer questions, locate items, and offer recommendations. You will operate cash registers, scanners, scales, and other electronics, ensuring accurate pricing and receipts.

The role includes cash handling, balancing drawers, processing payments, and assisting with refunds. You will help with stocking, maintaining store cleanliness, and addressing customer needs to provide a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Must apply reasonable judgment and understand to carry out simple one or two step instructions.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Reliable transportation and a working telephone
• Must be 18 years of age
• Six months to one-year experience in a related area preferred

Responsibilities

• Welcomes customers, answers questions, helps locate items and provides advice or recommendations.
• Operates scanners, scales, cash registers and other electronics with accuracy.
• Balances cash register and processes credit/debit transactions; provides receipts.
• Processes refunds and exchanges; resolves customer complaints.
• Restocks shelves and maintains store appearance and product representations to company standards.
