Job summary

Family Dollar in Boardman, Ohio is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle sales at the register, stock shelves, and keep the store clean and safe.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, retail or service experience, and strong communication. You will follow instructions, lift up to 50 lbs, and work with a friendly team in a part-time role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining interactions.
• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
