Job summary

Family Dollar in Centerline, MI is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. Responsibilities include assisting customers with questions, handling sales transactions at the register, maintaining store cleanliness and stock levels, unloading merchandise, and ensuring a safe, respectful environment.

You’ll work with customers and team members to meet productivity standards and support daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and meet physical demands.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and team.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and common areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
