Job summary

Family Dollar in Michigan (Ecorse) is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide friendly assistance to shoppers, process transactions, stock shelves, and keep the store clean. This part-time role emphasizes safety, professionalism, and team collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include helping customers, unloading shipments, restocking, and maintaining a welcoming store atmosphere while following store standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, grocery, or related fields preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and stooping.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neatness.
• Other duties as assigned.
