Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC. seeks a Customer Service Associate in Glendale Heights, IL to assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and keep the store clean and stocked.

You will unload merchandise, replenish shelves, and help maintain a safe, friendly environment for shoppers and staff. The role requires strong customer service, solid organizational skills, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs while standing and walking.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash, keeping areas neat.
• Other duties as assigned.
