Job summary

Family Dollar in Hartland, ME seeks a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver friendly, helpful service at the register and on the sales floor. You’ll assist customers with questions, stock shelves, and help maintain a clean, welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store is highly preferred.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store stocked and merchandise recovered
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks
• Keep the store clean and presentable, including bathrooms
• Other duties as assigned*
