Job summary

Dollar Tree in New Jersey is seeking a Customer Service Associate to help customers, run the register, stock shelves, and keep the store clean and welcoming. You will assist customers with questions, process transactions, and support unloading trucks and restocking per productivity standards.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service and communication skills, is able to lift 30–50 lbs, follow instructions, and work effectively in a team while maintaining a safe, friendly shopping

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and restock merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment with professional interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
