Job summary

Family Dollar in Cuba, NY is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide friendly service, assist customers, and support store operations. Responsibilities include ringing up sales, stocking shelves, unloading merchandise, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

This part-time position requires strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to lift 30–50 lbs, and the capacity to follow instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping areas neat and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned*.
