Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a Customer Service Associate in Effingham, IL, part-time, to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions, stock shelves, and help unload merchandise while maintaining a safe and welcoming store environment.

The role requires strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and adapt to daily store needs.Employment is at-will and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and colleagues.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms included, and keep areas neat.
• Other duties as assigned.
