Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks a Customer Service Associate to join our Cathedral City store and deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, stock merchandise, and maintain store cleanliness in a fast-paced retail setting.

Previous customer service in retail or related fields is preferred; lifting up to 50 lbs and frequent walking are expected. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and meet demands of standing, walking, lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
