Family Dollar in Chepachet, Rhode Island is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to provide friendly, efficient service at the sales floor and cash register. You will help customers, stock shelves, unload merchandise, and maintain a clean, safe store environment.

The role emphasizes strong communication, reliability, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail setting. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in retail, hospitality, or grocery enhances performance.
• Ability to follow instructions and read operational documents.
• Capable of lifting 30–50 lbs and frequent walking/standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Handle sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Stock and replenish merchandise; keep store clean and organized.
• Unload trucks and stock replenish according to productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and colleagues.
• Maintain bathroom cleanliness and overall store presentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
