Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in New York is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and provide a friendly shopping experience for every guest. You will assist customers, process transactions, and help maintain a well-stocked, clean store.

This role requires good communication, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior retail or service experience is preferred. Part-time schedule offered at the Stony Point location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent movement including walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restock bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, take out trash.
