Job summary

Family Dollar in Seagoville, TX is seeking a Customer Service Associate to assist customers, process sales at the register, and keep the store stocked and clean. You will help unload trucks, restock shelves, and maintain a safe, friendly environment for shoppers and team members.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior retail or service experience; you should be able to lift 30–50 lbs and follow store procedures with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent physical tasks.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and team members.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neatness.
• Other duties as assigned.
