Job summary

Dollar Tree in Santa Barbara, CA is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and maintain store cleanliness and stock. The role requires strong customer service, communication, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs.

Part-time position with opportunities to grow. Applicants should have a high school diploma (preferred) and prior retail or service experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms, floors, trash, and presentation.
