Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC seeks a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a friendly shopping experience in Monticello, NY. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, stock shelves, unload merchandise, and maintain a clean, safe store environment.

We value strong customer service, teamwork, and reliability. The role requires lifting 30–50 lbs and flexibility to work varied shifts; prior retail or service experience is preferred. High school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
