Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Irmo, SC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a positive shopping experience. The role includes assisting customers, handling transactions, stocking merchandise, and keeping areas clean and safe.

You will work with a team, uphold store standards, and contribute to efficient store operations while maintaining friendly and professional customer interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
