Job summary

The GIANT Company in Harrisburg is seeking a dedicated store cleaner to maintain office, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. You’ll operate floor cleaners, wash surfaces, remove trash, and help keep our store environment safe and welcoming for teammates and customers.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations in order to complete job duties
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days
• Must read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to this job and safety regulations
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job including but not limited to regular attendance
• Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule and required equipment at shift start, comply with PPE requirements, and prepare for duties
• Clean and vacuum floors in the office and conference spaces
• Clean and mop tile floors in restrooms and break areas
• Remove trash, operate compactor and bailer, clean spills, and use a power washer for sidewalks
• Dust and wash surfaces
• Wash mirrors, glass, surfaces, floors, and equipment in break rooms and restrooms
• Restock items as needed
• Use floor cones to designate potentially hazardous floor conditions
