Job summary

The Salvation Army NSC-Midlands Family Store in Columbia, SC is seeking a Part Time Associate with benefits. You will assist customers with donations and purchases, operate the cash register, and keep the store clean and inviting.

Responsibilities include processing transactions, handling money, and helping volunteers and donors as needed. Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma/GED and retail experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and experience working in a retail store preferred.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ring up sales and handle cash, balance cash drawer, prepare receipts and deposits.
• Assist customers donating items and locating items, explain store policies and pricing.
• Maintain clean and organized displays and storefront, restock bags and supplies.
• Answer customer questions, provide directions and general information, schedule donation pickups if needed.
• Monitor store safety, participate in disaster relief efforts as needed, supervise volunteers.
