Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Ballwin, MO is seeking a friendly Retail Sales Associate for a part-time role with 25 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. You will greet customers, process sales, restock displays, and keep the store clean and welcoming for shoppers and donors.

Training is provided, with ongoing coaching from store leadership. Prior retail or cashier experience is a plus, and employee discounts are available.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Ability to handle transactions accurately and politely.
• Comfort working in a team to meet daily goals.
• Willingness to learn store procedures and POS operations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service.
• Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately.
• Balance the register at opening/closing as needed.
• Restock merchandise and maintain neat displays.
• Assist with moving merchandise to the floor and keeping the store organized.
• Support daily sales and production goals with the team.
