Qualifications

• Read and write English; interact with public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information to customers and staff.
• Apply common sense to follow detailed but uninvolved instructions.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds, often up to 45 pounds, occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a store section, stock merchandise, ensure pricing accuracy, rotate stock, prepare perishable items for sale.
• Clean and maintain sanitation in interior and exterior areas and parking lot as directed.
• Operate a cash register, handle payments, issue refunds with approval, verify eligibility when selling alcoholic beverages.
• Assist customers with information and, when requested, load purchases to their vehicles.
• Perform basic bookkeeping: record lost/damaged goods and store supplies.
